Max Fashion is one of India’s leading value-fashion retailers, offering contemporary fashion across Apparel, Footwear, Accessories and Non-Apparel categories. As we expand our Non-Apparel portfolio, we are building a Beauty business from the ground up for the Indian value customer.

This is a high-ownership, entrepreneurial opportunity to build a new category within Max, with the potential to shape the product, brand, sourcing, vendor ecosystem and overall Beauty proposition.

Role Objective

Lead the development and launch of the Beauty category at Max, with end-to-end ownership of the category strategy, product proposition, assortment, sourcing, vendor ecosystem, pricing and commercial performance.

The ideal candidate will be a Beauty industry expert and builder, rather than a traditional buyer. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to build a category,



brand or business in the beauty industry from scratch whether offline or online and can combine deep product knowledge with solid commercial and entrepreneurial thinking.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build the Beauty Category Strategy
- Develop the long-term Beauty strategy for Max aligned to the Indian value-fashion customer.
- Identify consumer needs, trends, white spaces and emerging opportunities.
- Define the category architecture across makeup, nails, lips, eyes, beauty accessories and future Beauty extensions.
- Develop a differentiated Beauty proposition versus value players in retail ecosystem.
- Build the category roadmap from initial launch through scale-up.

2. Product & Assortment Ownership
- Own the product development process end-to-end, from concept to final product.
- Define the right assortment, SKU architecture, shades, finishes, formats, packs and price points.
