Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive manual testing of desktop-based applications, ensuring functionality, stability, and performance across different environments.
- Can independently perform Smoke, Sanity, and Regression testing.
- Validate software installations and upgrades through build verification testing, including checks for installation integrity, silent installs, upgrade validation, and registry/configuration verification.
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
- Log and track defects using project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, technical support teams, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Analyze requirements and identify edge cases, potential failures, and usability issues.




- Participate in root cause analysis and help improve software quality through feedback loops.
- Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and release readiness discussions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- One year to five years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Robust understanding of build installation validation, including silent installations, upgrade paths, rollback scenarios, and registry/configuration validation.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.

Nice to Have:
- Exposure to testing tools or scripting for automation (even basic knowledge).
- Experience specifically in testing Windows-based/desktop applications.
