Headline8 is looking for a confident, fluent and camera-friendly News Anchor / Presenter who can connect with audiences through clear, engaging and credible news presentation in Assamese.

The ideal candidate should have excellent Assamese speaking and writing skills, a strong on-camera presence and an interest in current affairs. The role may also involve field reporting, interviews and gathering news from the ground.

Key Responsibilities
- Present video stories and digital news content in Assamese.
- Deliver news clearly, confidently and naturally on camera.
- Research and understand news developments before presenting them.
- Write, edit and refine Assamese news scripts when required.
- Conduct interviews with public figures, experts, officials and other relevant sources.
- Participate in field reporting and on-ground coverage when required.
- Coordinate with reporters, editors and the digital content team.
- Cover breaking news, events, press conferences and other important developments.
- Maintain journalistic accuracy, neutrality and skilled standards.




- Contribute to social media and digital-first video content.

Requirements
- Excellent fluency in spoken and written Assamese.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
- Good knowledge of current affairs, Assam and regional issues.
- Ability to write and understand Assamese news scripts.
- Strong pronunciation, voice modulation and storytelling ability.
- Willingness to travel for reporting and field assignments.
- Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Previous experience in news anchoring, journalism, reporting or digital media will be an advantage.
