Key Responsibilitie

Own the AI/ML capability powering recommendations, search relevance and content intelligence across the

platform

Design and build recommendation systems that personalize content discovery across video, audio, radio,

micro-drama and news

Improve search relevance and ranking to help users find content faster across a growing content catalog

Build content intelligence capabilities — including content tagging, classification and metadata enrichment —

to power discovery at scale

Partner closely with the Backend Architect to integrate ML systems cleanly into the broader backend platform

Partner with the Product Lead to translate product goals into measurable ML-driven outcomes

Evaluate and introduce new ML tools, models and techniques where they meaningfully improve

recommendation quality or content intelligence

Own model performance, monitoring and iteration as usage data grows across the platform

Own the AI/ML technical roadmap as the platform scales beyond Phase 1





Required Qualifications

5–8 years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production

Deep, hands-on expertise in recommendation systems, search relevance or ranking models

Solid understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle — data pipelines, model training, evaluation and

deployment

Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent)

Experience working with large-scale user behavior and content data to power personalization

Comfortable operating as a high-impact individual contributor, leading through technical authority and

influence

Excellent communication skills — able to translate ML outcomes and trade-offs for engineering, product and

non-technical stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications
