Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SWIFT Messaging & Payments Support Engineer
with robust expertise in SWIFT payments, messaging gateways, Unix environments, and production support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SWIFT connectivity applications, SWIFT message flows, payment journey concepts, and Linux/Unix-based environments. The role involves supporting critical payment systems, troubleshooting production issues, stakeholder communication, and ensuring seamless transaction processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage SWIFT payment processing applications and messaging infrastructure.
- Handle SWIFT message types, payment lifecycle management, and transaction troubleshooting.
- Work on SWIFT connectivity applications such as
SNL (SWIFTNet Link)
.
- Provide support for SWIFT messaging gateways, preferably
GTExchange
.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health in Unix/RHEL environments.
- Analyze logs,
troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Write and execute PL/SQL queries for data validation and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and external vendors.
- Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Work within Agile environments using Jira or similar task management tools.
- Participate in release deployments, testing, and change management activities.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in
SWIFT Payments Domain
(SWIFT message types and payment journey concepts).
- Hands-on experience with
SWIFTNet Link (SNL)
.
- Experience in
Unix Shell Scripting
.
- Expert-level knowledge of
Unix Commands
.
- Experience working in
RHEL/Linux environments
.
- Good understanding of
Oracle Database concepts
.
- Ability to write and analyze
PL/SQL queries
.
- Experience with
Jira
or other Agile/ALM too
