About the Role

We are seeking hands-on AI Software Engineers to augment Goldman Sachs engineering teams. This is not a prompt-engineering or experimentation role it requires true engineering talent with proven production deployment experience.

Must-Have Skills
- Agentic AI development
- LLMs & RAG
- Strong software engineering, coding, and system design
- Data engineering, pipelines, distributed computing, persistence
- Backend engineering & low-latency optimization
- AI system architecture & production deployment
- Agent frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, etc.)
- MCP/server development
- AI system optimization (token, context-window, cost)

What Were Looking For
- Engineers with end-to-end production experience (not just PoCs or hackathons).
- Ability to design,



build, and deploy AI systems used in real-world environments.
- Strong grasp of AI/ML fundamentals and adaptability to new frameworks.
- Candidates who are already part of an established AI practice/bench.
- Willingness to overlap with Recent York/Eastern Time (8 AM11 AM ET).

Not a Fit If You Are
- Only a prompt engineer or AI Ops specialist.
- Focused on traditional ML without GenAI/agentic AI exposure.
- Relying solely on bootcamps, hackathons, or lightweight AI projects.
- Dependent on AI coding assistants without understanding the implementation.
