Role Overview
- Responsible for managing the entire fabric cutting department.
- Ensure accurate fabric utilization, minimal wastage, and timely supply of cut panels to sewing lines.
- Supervise team members and coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily cutting schedules as per production plan and order priorities.
- Check fabric consumption, shrinkage, lay planning, and marker efficiency.
- Supervise fabric spreading, layering, and cutting operations.
- Ensure accuracy in cut quantities as per size ratio and buyer order.
- Conduct pre-production checks on fabric quality, defects, and shading.
- Monitor usage of cutting tools, machines (straight knife, band knife, die cutters, etc.).
- Maintain cutting reports, fabric utilization records, and wastage analysis.
- Coordinate with Merchandisers and Pattern Masters for markers and cut plan approvals.
- Ensure proper bundling, numbering, and issue of cut panels to sewing lines.
- Implement quality checks to avoid mismatch, shading, or shortages.
- Train and supervise cutting staff,



helpers, and operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety norms and 5S practices in the cutting section.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, shrinkage, and cutting techniques.
- Ability to plan and optimize markers for maximum fabric efficiency.
- Familiarity with manual cutting and computerized marker planning.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality orientation.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Certificate in Garment Technology / Textile / Cutting & Tailoring.
- 3+ years of experience in garment manufacturing cutting department.
- Hands-on knowledge of woven/knit fabric cutting and marker efficiency.
- Experience in handling bulk production for export/domestic brands.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
