Job Summary

Grey Soul Coffee Roasters is looking for a skilled and creative Bakery Chef to manage and execute our bakery production.

The Bakery Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality breads, pastries, cakes and other bakery products, maintaining consistency, managing ingredients and inventory, controlling wastage, and ensuring excellent hygiene and food safety standards.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented and passionate about baking, with the ability to work independently while coordinating closely with the kitchen and café team.

Key Responsibilities Bakery Production
- Prepare and produce a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins and other bakery products.
- Follow standardized recipes and maintain consistency in taste, texture, quality and presentation.
- Prepare daily mise en place and production according to business requirements.




- Ensure all bakery products are prepared and available on time.
- Maintain proper portioning, shaping, baking and finishing standards.
- Develop current bakery products and seasonal specials when required.

Quality Control
- Check the quality, freshness and presentation of all bakery products.
- Maintain consistency in every batch.
- Ensure proper baking temperatures and timings.
- Conduct regular quality checks and identify production issues.
- Minimize product defects, returns and wastage.

Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor daily bakery ingredient requirements.
- Maintain proper stock levels of flour, butter, dairy, chocolate, fruits and other ingredients.
- Assist with procurement and coordinate with vendors.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
- Monitor ingredient usage and control food costs.
- Record and minimize wastage and spoilage.

Hygiene & Food Safety
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming.
- Keep bake
