Role & responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, manufacturers, and wholesalers to expand the retail product portfolio.
- Negotiate competitive pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profit margins.
- Assess vendor performance regularly based on product quality, delivery timelines, and pricing consistency.
- Monitor stock levels continuously using retail ERP or inventory software to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) accurately based on store requisitions and historic sales data
- Maintain updated records of digital procurement databases, including supplier profiles, contracts, invoices, and pricing matrices.
- Collaborate with the accounts department to verify billing accuracy and ensure timely payments to vendors.
