Labelling Executive – Role & Responsibilities
A Labelling Executive is responsible for ensuring that all jewelry products are correctly labelled, coded, priced, and documented before they are displayed or sold.
Key Responsibilities
Jewellery Labelling
Prepare and attach labels/tags to jewellery items such as gold, diamond, silver, and platinum products.
Ensure every item has the correct product code, description, weight, purity, price, and other required details.
Data Accuracy
Verify jewellery details against ERP/software records, invoices, and product specifications.
Check gross weight, net weight, stone weight, purity, making charges, and selling price.
Barcode & Tag Management
Generate and print barcode/product labels.
Ensure barcode information matches the physical jewellery item and system records.
Quality & Compliance Checking
Check labels for spelling, pricing, weight, purity, and other errors before products reach the showroom.
Ensure labelling follows company policies and applicable jewellery regulations.
Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with the production, inventory, purchase, quality, accounts, and showroom teams.
Ensure newly manufactured or received jewellery is labelled before being transferred to inventory/showroom.
Stock Verification
Match physical jewellery with labels and system-generated data.
Identify and report mismatches in weight, product code, price, or other details.
Re-Labelling
Correct or replace damaged, missing, or incorrect labels.
Update labels whenever there is a change in price, product details, or inventory status.
Record Keeping
Maintain proper records of labels issued, printed, cancelled, and reprinted.
Maintain documentation for audit and inventory reconciliation.
Coordination with Sales Team
Provide correctly labelled products to the showroom/sales team.
Resolve queries related to product codes, prices, weights, and jewellery specifications.
