We are looking for an L1 Network Engineer with basic knowledge of Routing & Switching to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure. The candidate will provide first-level technical support for LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and connectivity-related issues.

Key Responsibilities Monitor network devices, links, and connectivity.

Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN and network connectivity issues.

Configure and troubleshoot basic Cisco routers and switches.

Handle VLAN, trunk, access-port, and basic STP-related issues.

Perform basic IP addressing and subnetting.

Troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, gateway, and connectivity issues.

Check interface status, speed/duplex, packet loss, and link errors.

Perform basic router and switch configuration as per standard procedures.

Escalate L2/L3 issues to senior network engineers.

Maintain network incident and troubleshooting records.

Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and customers when required.

Follow network monitoring, escalation, and ticketing procedures.

Required Technical Skills Basic knowledge of Networking fundamentals.





Positive understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, LAN/WAN.

Basic knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching.

VLAN, Trunking, STP and basic EtherChannel knowledge.

Basic knowledge of IPv4, subnetting and IP addressing.

Basic knowledge of DHCP and DNS.

Basic understanding of static routing and default routes.

Familiarity with commands such as ping, tracert/traceroute, ipconfig/ifconfig, and basic Cisco IOS commands.

Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools.

Qualification Diploma/B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc./MCA/CCNA or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, Electronics or Networking.

CCNA certification will be an added advantage.

Soft Skills Good communication and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work in shifts, if required.

Willingness to work at client locations.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Good documentation and reporting skills.
