Barclays is hiring an AI Engineer for its Global Payment Services technology team in Pune. The role focuses on leading engineering for a multiyear SOLD Simplification initiative and delivering secure, scalable AI-enabled solutions.

- Experience in SOLD Simplification
- Robust full-stack engineering expertise using Python or Java
- Hands-on delivery of Generative AI solutions
- Experience with cloud-native engineering and DevSecOps
- Experience integrating AI with enterprise platforms and data sources
- Financial services or payments engineering experience
- Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, regulatory compliance and delivery across multiple countries

Responsibilities




- Lead the overall engineering and development of the SOLD Simplification initiative
- Coordinate and support requirement discovery, initiative planning, delivery planning, roadmap and stakeholder management
- Design, develop and improve software using engineering methodologies
- Deliver high-quality software solutions that are scalable, maintainable and optimized for performance
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to define requirements and solution strategies
- Ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed of technology trends and contribute to technology communities
- Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and mitigate vulnerabilities
- Implement effective unit testing practices to support code design, readability and reliability
- Provide technical direction as a subject m
