Smart Energy Meter Business - India

Position: Marketing Manager - Smart Energy Meters Industry: Smart Metering / Energy / Electrical & Power Location: India

Experience: 8-12 years

Reporting to: Business Head / Head - Smart Metering Business

Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy for the smart energy meter business in India, with a strong focus on market development, utility/EPC engagement, government tenders, customer acquisition, product positioning, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development & Strategy
- Develop and execute the India marketing strategy for smart energy meters.
- Identify emerging market opportunities across DISCOMs, AMISP companies, EPCs, utilities, industrial customers and private distribution companies.
- Conduct market intelligence on competitors, pricing, technologies, regulations and customer requirements.
- Identify recent states, customers and business segments for market expansion.
- Develop annual marketing plans,



budgets and business targets.

2. Utility & Customer Engagement
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers in DISCOMs,

utilities, AMISPs, EPCs and system integrators.
- Understand customer technical, commercial and regulatory requirements and

translate them into business opportunities.
- Organize customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations and

workshops.
- Support the sales team in developing strategic accounts and key customers.

3. Tender & Business Development Support
- Track and analyze smart meter tenders, RFPs, RFQs and upcoming projects across India.
- Coordinate with sales, technical, commercial and management teams for tender

submissions.
- Support preparation of technical-commercial proposals and customer-specific

solutions.
