Role & responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan.
- Monitor manpower deployment and optimize machine utilization.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdown resolution.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, shift records, and MIS data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Train and guide operators and technicians on production processes and safety practices.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, IATF, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.




- 3-8 years of experience in production/manufacturing operations, preferably in the automotive or auto-component industry.
- Proven experience in handling shop-floor operations and managing manpower during shifts.
- Solid knowledge of production processes, quality systems, safety standards, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, SPC, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance, quality, and planning teams.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, production reporting, and shift documentation.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
- Experience in achieving production targets while ensuring quality, safety, and cost control.
