A Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children. The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate educational activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons and learning activities for preschool children.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom workplace.
- Monitor and assess children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Encourage social interaction, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain classroom discipline using positive behavior management techniques.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Prepare teaching materials, learning aids, and classroom displays.
- Organize extracurricular activities, events, and field trips as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and observations.
- Follow school policies and early childhood education standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification/licensure (as required by local regulations).
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Classroom management and organizational skills.
- Creativity in lesson planning and activity design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents and colleagues.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
