About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with hands-on experience in UK Accounting and General Accounting Operations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in General Ledger Accounting, Journal Entries, Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting and day-to-day accounting operations, with a positive understanding of UK GAAP and UK VAT requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for UK-based clients/entities.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries, Accruals, Prepayments and Accounting Adjustments.
- Perform General Ledger, Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Support Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Close activities.
- Review accounting transactions and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial reporting and audit requirements.




- Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
- Support VAT-related accounting activities and reconciliations.
- Support Intercompany Accounting and reconciliations where applicable.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients and finance teams to resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting requirements, company policies and internal controls.
- Maintain complete accounting documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

Key Software

Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets; experience with other accounting or ERP systems will also be considered.
