Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Haematology & Clinical Pathology department. The candidate must possess independent troubleshooting skills and extensive experience in managing both advanced automation systems and specialized manual verification techniques.

Key Responsibilities
- Flow Cytometry Operations: Take independent, hands-on charge of executing, processing, and validating all Flow Cytometry-related immunophenotyping tests.
- Sample Management: Receive, verify, and acknowledge IP/OP samples (EDTA-CBP, ESR, Blood Group, Citrate-Coagulation, Bone Marrow, and Fluids).
- Testing & Analysis: Process laboratory samples within stipulated Turnaround Times (TAT) using both high-throughput automation and exact conventional manual techniques.
- Microscopic Evaluation: Prepare, stain, and conduct microscopic examinations of peripheral smears and bone marrow aspirates.
- Quality Assurance: Run and document internal Quality Control (IQC) daily for hematology, coagulation,



and flow cytometers in compliance with NABL guidelines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for advanced laboratory instruments.
- Critical Care Alerting: Immediately identify and report critical/panic values to the Consultant Pathologist and concerned nursing units.
- Data Integration: Enter test results accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and maintain respective physical registers.

Preferred candidate profile:
- Council Registration: Valid and active registration certificate from a state Paramedical Council is mandatory.
- Technical Expertise: Mandatory hands-on experience setting up, processing, and acquiring samples on Flow Cytometry platforms.
- Operational Profile: 4 to 5 years of solid, post-qualification experience in high-volume, hospital-attached clinical pathology setups.
