Head Chef / Restaurant Chef (BOCHE Toddy Pub & Restaurant)Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen operations at our Toddy Pub Restaurant. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in regional rustic cuisine—specifically specializing in authentic spice blends, local seafood, meats, and traditional accompaniments that pair exceptionally well with beverage service. You will oversee food preparation, manage kitchen staff, control food costs, and ensure that every dish served meets our high standards of taste, quality, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities1. Culinary Excellence & Menu Management
- Recipe Execution: Maintain authentic taste, traditional spice balances, and consistent presentation for all signature menu items.
- Menu Development: Design and update pub-style menus, daily specials, and rustic finger foods/appetizers tailored to complement the beverage selections.
- Quality Control: Inspect raw ingredients and finished dishes to ensure compliance with strict quality and flavor standards.

2. Kitchen Operations & Leadership




- Staff Supervision: Coordinate, mentor, and schedule kitchen personnel (line cooks, prep cooks, and commis chefs) to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Training: Train kitchen staff on standardized recipes, preparation techniques, and portion control.
- Kitchen Workflow: Manage food preparation timelines to ensure prompt and effective service during peak pub hours.

3. Inventory & Cost Control
- Stock Management: Monitor ingredient inventory levels, manage waste reduction, and place regular stock orders with approved suppliers.
- Budgeting: Keep food and labor costs within the allocated operational budget without compromising on quality.

4. Safety & Sanitation
- Hygiene Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food storage, preparation, and cooking areas.
