Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on IBM z/OS Mainframe.

Design and develop programs using COBOL.

Create and maintain JCL jobs, procedures, and job streams.

Work with DB2 for database design, SQL development, and performance optimization.

Develop and support CICS online transaction processing applications.

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and production support.

Troubleshoot batch and online production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Monitor and optimize batch jobs and application performance.

Work with VSAM files, datasets, utilities, and mainframe storage concepts.

Perform impact analysis for application changes and enhancements.

Participate in code reviews and ensure development standards are followed.

Work with cross-functional teams, business analysts, QA teams, and application support teams.

Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge-transfer activities.
