Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Outdoor Catering (ODC) Chef to manage food preparation and kitchen operations at outdoor events, weddings, corporate functions, and large-scale catering assignments. The ideal candidate should have 2–4 years of relevant experience in outdoor catering, banquet kitchens, hotels, resorts, or event catering.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute food preparation for outdoor events, weddings, parties, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
- Handle bulk cooking and large-scale food production while maintaining consistent taste and quality.
- Prepare Indian, Continental, or multi-cuisine dishes according to the approved menu.
- Coordinate with the Catering Manager/Operations Manager regarding guest count, menu, event timing, and special requirements.
- Supervise Commis Chefs, kitchen helpers, and temporary catering staff at event locations.
- Plan raw material requirements and ensure proper transportation, storage, and handling of food ingredients.
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to the event schedule.




- Maintain portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Ensure proper food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at temporary/outdoor kitchen setups.
- Check food quality, taste, temperature, and presentation before service.
- Handle last-minute changes, special dietary requirements, and additional food requirements.
- Ensure proper cleaning and secure handling of kitchen equipment after the event.

Requirements
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, Food Production, Catering Technology, or a relevant culinary qualification.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience as an ODC Chef, Catering Chef, Banquet Chef, or similar role.
- Strong experience in outdoor catering and bulk food preparation.
- Good knowledge of Indian and/or multi-cuisine cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, preferably FSSAI/HACCP.
