Key Responsibilities

1. Packing Operations
- Supervise day-to-day packing operations for edible oil in various pack sizes such as pouches, bottles, jars, tins, and bulk packs.
- Ensure smooth operation of filling, sealing, labeling, coding, capping, and carton-packing machines.
- Achieve daily/monthly packing targets as per production plans.
- Minimize packing material wastage, oil spillage, leakage, and product losses.

2. Manpower Management
- Allocate manpower according to packing line requirements.
- Supervise operators, helpers, contract workers, and packing staff.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and work performance.
- Provide on-job training to packing operators and workers.

3. Quality Control
- Ensure correct product, batch number, MRP, manufacturing/expiry date, net quantity, and labeling on every pack.
- Coordinate with the Quality/QA team for quality checks and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with company specifications and applicable food/packaging regulations.
- Immediately report any quality deviation, leakage, under/over filling,



or packaging defect.

4. Production Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure availability of bottles/pouches, caps, labels, cartons, tapes, and other packing materials.
- Plan changeovers between different products and pack sizes to reduce downtime.
- Maintain proper production and packing records.

5. Machine & Maintenance
- Monitor packing machinery performance and identify abnormalities.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Reduce machine downtime and ensure proper machine settings.
- Ensure cleaning and basic maintenance of packing equipment.

6. Inventory & Material Control
- Monitor consumption of packing materials against standard norms.
- Control wastage and maintain proper stock of packaging materials at the packing line.
