The Import Manager Operations will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end import processes, ensuring timely shipment execution, documentation accuracy, customs compliance, and smooth clearance of imported goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complete import operations from shipment initiation to final clearance.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers for shipment schedules and required documentation.
Review and verify import documents including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Documents, and other statutory paperwork.
Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and government policies.
Coordinate with customs clearing agents for timely clearance of shipments.
Track shipment status and proactively resolve operational delays or documentation issues.
Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and regulatory documents.
Prepare periodic reports on shipment status, clearance timelines, and operational performance.
Monitor changes in import regulations and ensure adherence to applicable laws.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in commerce, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
Certification in Import-Export Management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in import operations and documentation management.
Robust knowledge of customs procedures, import documentation, and regulatory compliance.
