Role & responsibilities
- Establish and lead the BIW CoE for tractor and farm equipment cabins, defining engineering standards, design methodologies, best practices and technical roadmaps.
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of cabin BIW structures, including cabin frame, roof structure, floor, pillars, doors, closures, mounting structures and other sheet-metal structural parts.
- Drive body structure optimization to achieve the right balance between strength, safety, durability, weight and cost.
- Work closely with Product Development and CAE teams to ensure cabin structures meet performance requirements related to structural integrity, durability, NVH, operator safety and regulatory requirements.
- Drive DFM/DFA and manufacturability improvements, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Room and suppliers on stamping, welding, fixtures and assembly processes.
- Lead lightweighting and cost optimization initiatives through material selection, design optimization, part consolidation and value engineering.
- Support new product development (NPD)



from concept and design through prototype development, validation, industrialization and SOP.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and Supplier teams to resolve BIW-related issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop a robust BIW engineering talent pool and Centre of Excellence, including capability building, technical standards and knowledge management.

Preferred candidate profile
- 15+years of experience in BIW (Body-in-White) COE or Design & Development.
- Strong experience in complete vehicle/product development lifecycle.
- Expertise in sheet metal design, welded structures, BIW architecture, GD&T;, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, and value engineering.
- Hands-on exposure to CATIA/NX and PLM tools.
- Proven experience leading large engineering teams or a Centre of Excellence (COE).
