Key Responsibilities

Conduct Safety Inspections

Conduct daily inspections of facilities, machinery, operations, and employee practices to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective action.

Ensure Safety Compliance

Ensure all operations comply strictly with applicable local, state, and national occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and statutory requirements.

Safety Training & Awareness

Plan and conduct safety induction programmers, employee training, emergency drills, toolbox talks, and hazard communication programmers.Incident Investigation

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents. Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Safety Documentation & Records

Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, inspection reports, incident/accident reports, training records, statutory registers, and other safety-related documentation.

Qualification

Degree in Industrial Safety, (OR)





Degree in Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Safety. would be added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of industrial experience as a Safety Officer.

Experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment will be preferred.

Desired Skills

Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and statutory compliance.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to conduct safety inspections, training programmes, and emergency drills.

Robust incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.

Ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, security, production, maintenance, and management teams.

Candidate should be good in Oral written & communication in Tamil, English and Hindi They should located in an around of Gummidipoondi location.
