About the Role

Baan Phad Thai is looking for experienced and passionate
Sous Chef / Jr. Sous Chef
professionals to join our kitchen team.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in
Pan-Asian cuisine
, with a good understanding of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, flavour profiles, kitchen operations, and food presentation.

Candidates with experience in
Thai / Pan-Asian restaurants, premium dining, fine dining, or 5-star hotels
will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and service.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion standards.
- Have strong knowledge of
Pan-Asian cuisine, ingredients, sauces, cooking techniques, and preparation methods
.
- Ensure recipes and brand standards are followed consistently.
- Supervise and guide the kitchen team during service.




- Coordinate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Monitor food preparation, mise-en-place, and kitchen readiness.
- Maintain high standards of
food hygiene, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation
.
- Monitor food wastage, portion control, and kitchen costs.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and quality checks.
- Support training and development of Commis and junior kitchen team members.
- Handle service pressure effectively and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist the Chef in menu preparation, new dish trials, and operational improvements where required.

Candidate Profile
- Pan-Asian cuisine experience is mandatory.
- Experience in
Thai / Pan-Asian restaurants
will be strongly preferred.
- Candidates from
premium/fine-dining restaurants or 5-star hotels
will be preferred.
- Robust knowledge of Asian ingredients, techniques, and flavour profiles.
