Skills required are :
Proactive monitoring, investigation and resolution: Identify the issue based on troubleshooting and decide on the actions required to be implemented for resolving the issue. Refer to required KEDB or KB for known issues/repetitive issues and resolution steps. Implement the resolution steps, execute, validate and update ticket with steps taken and outcome
Triage: Once the resolution steps are completed if the issue is still not resolved or if it s an unknown issue and standard troubleshooting methods did not resolve the issue, escalate the ticket to L3 SME and support the troubleshooting process, if there is a bridge, continue on the bridge along with the SME. This support includes coordination with 3rd party vendor technicians.
Process:
Gather information from vendor, customer, analysis from the troubleshooting, resolution steps implemented etc. and update the tickets regularly, as per the defined process.
Prepare a detailed shift handover report for the next shift engineer
Constantly track tickets for SLA adherence and escalate on deviations as defined in the process.




Server Administration
Install Windows Server OS with guidance
Configure basic network settings (IP address, subnet mask, gateway)
Add and remove server roles using Server Manager
Create basic user accounts in AD Users and Computers
Perform basic file and folder permission assignments
VMware, HyperV
Identify differences between Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors
Understand basic VM components (CPU, memory, storage, network)
Know the concept of VM snapshots and templates
HCI
Understand the integration of compute, storage, and networking in HCI
Know basic concepts of software-defined storage and networking
MS Azure
Understand cloud computing concepts and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Recognize core Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking)
Understand Azure subscription and resource group concepts
