- Automobile Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)

- Electronics Engineering
- Electric Vehicle / EV Technology

Experience

- 0–3 years of experience in automobile / electric vehicle / commercial vehicle manufacturing.
- Freshers with relevant Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech qualification may also be considered.
- Candidates with experience in vehicle assembly, automotive production or EV assembly will be preferred.

Job Purpose

To carry out assembly and fitment of electrical, mechanical and EV components in electric commercial vehicles as per standard operating procedures, production targets and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Assembly Operations

- Perform assembly operations of electric commercial vehicles as per SOP, work instructions and production schedules.
- Assemble and fit various vehicle components, sub-assemblies and systems.
- Carry out mechanical and electrical component fitment on the vehicle.
- Perform assembly using appropriate hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
- Ensure correct positioning, alignment and fitment of components.
- Carry out tightening of fasteners using torque wrenches and torque-controlled tools as per specified torque values.

EV Component Assembly

- Support installation and fitment of:
- Battery packs and battery-related components
- Motor and motor mounting assemblies
- Motor controller / inverter
- DC-DC converter
- On-board charger
- Vehicle Control Unit (VCU)
- Charging components




- Wiring harnesses and connectors
- Sensors and electrical components

- Ensure proper routing, clamping and connection of wiring harnesses.
- Check connectors, terminals and cable routing for proper fitment.

Electrical Assembly

- Perform basic electrical assembly and wiring activities.
- Connect wiring harnesses, electrical connectors and terminals as per drawings and work instructions.
- Carry out continuity and basic electrical checks.
- Ensure proper identification and connection of electrical components.
- Follow proper procedures while handling low-voltage and high-voltage EV components.

Mechanical Assembly

- Assemble mechanical components such as brackets, mounts, suspension-related components, enclosures and other vehicle parts.
- Carry out component alignment and fitment.
- Use hand tools, torque tools and power tools safely and correctly.
- Check for loose fasteners, improper fitment and assembly abnormalities.

Quality Inspection

- Conduct in-process inspection of assembled components.
- Verify component fitment, torque, alignment and wiring connections.
- Identify and report defects, missing components or incorrect assembly.
- Carry out rework and rectification as instructed by the supervisor/quality team.
- Ensure First-Time-Right (FTR) assembly.

Production & Line Activities

- Achieve daily production targets as per the production plan.
- Follow line balancing and takt time requirements.
- Maintain smooth flow of material and components at the workstation.




- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Maintenance teams whenever required.
- Maintain proper workstation discipline and 5S.

Safety

- Follow all automotive and EV safety procedures.
- Follow PPE requirements and workplace safety instructions.
- Follow HV safety procedures when handling high-voltage components.
- Follow LOTO and electrical isolation procedures wherever applicable.
- Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment and vehicle components.

Documentation

- Complete production checklists and assembly records.
- Record torque values and inspection results wherever required.
- Report production abnormalities, quality issues and component shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow standard work instructions and maintain required documentation.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of automobile / EV assembly processes
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and work instructions
- Knowledge of fasteners, torque specifications and assembly tools
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools and torque tools
- Basic knowledge of vehicle wiring and electrical connectors
- Good understanding of quality and safety requirements
- Ability to work in a production line environment

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech candidates with an interest in automotive and EV manufacturing.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in vehicle assembly, automotive production, EV assembly or commercial vehicle manufacturing will be preferred.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify assembly defects.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Positive teamwork and discipline.
- Ability to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
