The Housekeeping Executive/Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across hospital premises. This role ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors while complying with hospital policies, NABH standards, and infection control protocols.

- Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, OPD, ICUs, OT, and other hospital areas.

- Handle proper disposal of biomedical waste according to hospital protocols.

- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, corridors, washrooms, and waiting areas.

- Assist in setting up rooms, beds, and equipment for patient care.

- Ensure availability and proper use of cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and equipment.

- Report any damage, malfunction, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.

- Follow infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols strictly.

- Assist in pest control, linen handling, and laundry coordination as required.

- Support hospital during audits, inspections, and adherence to NABH/JCI standards.

- Respond to patient or visitor requests courteously and professionally.





- Qualifications Experience

- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).

- Prior experience in hospital housekeeping or similar environment is desirable but fresher s may be considered.

- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, disinfectants, and infection control practices is an advantage.

- Skills Competencies

- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

- Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks efficiently.

- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

- Teamwork and coordination with clinical and non-clinical staff.

- Awareness of hospital infection control policies and safety standards.

- Skilled and courteous behavior toward patients, staff, and visitors.
