The Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacist is responsible for preparing, dispensing, and managing medications for patients while ensuring accuracy, patient safety, and compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and NABH standards.

- Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medications accurately as per prescription from doctors.

- Maintain proper storage, labelling, and stock of medicines, vaccines, and medical supplies.

- Monitor drug inventory, expiry dates, and place timely orders for replenishment.

- Assist in compounding, preparation, and packaging of medications as needed.

- Counsel patients and hospital staff regarding medication usage, dosage, and side effects.

- Maintain records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and pharmacy transactions.

- Ensure adherence to hospital pharmacy protocols, safety standards, and infection control measures.

- Assist in audits, stock verification, and NABH compliance activities.

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding medication management.

- Report any adverse drug reactions or discrepancies to the pharmacy in charge promptly.





- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B. Pharm /D. Pharm in Pharmacy.

- 0-2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy (fresher s may be considered).

- Knowledge of drug regulations, storage, and dispensing procedures.

- Skills Competencies

- - Accuracy and attention to detail in dispensing and recording medications.

- Good communication and patient counselling skills.

- Ability to manage inventory and stock efficiently.

- Knowledge of pharmacy software and hospital information systems (HIS) preferred.

- Awareness of NABH standards, infection control, and medication safety protocols.

- Teamwork, coordination, and qualified conduct in a hospital environment.
