The Radiology / Imaging Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using CT, MRI, X-Ray, and other imaging modalities. The role includes preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring image quality, maintaining safety standards, and assisting radiologists in diagnosis while complying with NABH and hospital protocols.

- Key Responsibilities

- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring safety.

- Operate CT, MRI, X-Ray, and other imaging equipment accurately.

- Ensure proper patient positioning and protocol adherence for high-quality imaging.

- Monitor patient condition during imaging and report any adverse reactions.

- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer and hospital guidelines.

- Manage imaging records, documentation, and PACS system entries.

- Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control procedures.

- Assist radiologists in diagnostic interpretation as required.

- Maintain inventory of radiology consumables and ensure equipment readiness.

- Participate in audits, training, and quality improvement activities in the imaging department.





- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B.Sc . in Radiology / Imaging Technology or equivalent.

- Certification in CT, MRI, or X-Ray preferred.

- 0-3 years of experience in hospital radiology or diagnostic imaging (fresher s with training may be considered).

- Knowledge of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and hospital infection control standards.

- Skills Competencies

- Proficiency in operating CT, MRI, X-Ray, and other imaging equipment.

- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control.

- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.

- Valuable communication and patient interaction skills.

- Teamwork and coordination with radiologists, doctors, and nursing staff.
