The Staff Nurse (ICU) is responsible for providing critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, operating ICU equipment, and working closely with doctors and the critical care team to ensure high-quality patient care in compliance with NABH and hospital standards.

- Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.

- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and patient conditions continuously.

- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed.

- Assist doctors during ICU procedures and interventions.

- Operate and maintain ICU equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, and dialysis machines.

- Maintain accurate patient records, ICU charts, and nursing notes.

- Follow strict infection control and hygiene protocols.

- Educate patients (when applicable) and attendants about care procedures.

- Participate in critical care audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and support rapid interventions.





- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B.Sc . in Nursing.

- Registered with State Nursing Council (RNC).

- 0-3 years of experience in ICU nursing (fresher s with ICU training may be considered).

- Knowledge of critical care procedures, life-support systems, and infection control.
