The CSSD Technician is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, medical devices, and supplies to ensure infection-free procedures. The role ensures adherence to hospital infection control policies, NABH standards, and maintains the availability of sterile instruments for clinical services.

- Key Responsibilities

- Collect, sort, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments, medical devices, and equipment from various hospital departments.

- Operate sterilization equipment (autoclaves, ethylene oxide sterilizers, washer-disinfectors) safely and efficiently.

- Inspect and assemble instrument sets, ensuring all items are in working condition.

- Maintain proper storage of sterile instruments and track inventory levels.

- Label and distribute sterile supplies to operating rooms, ICUs, and other departments.

- Follow standard infection control practices and hospital protocols strictly.

- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and instrument usage.

- Report any malfunctioning equipment or shortages to CSSD In charge.

- Participate in training programs and updates on sterilization procedures and infection control.

- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital safety regulations.

- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma or certificate in CSSD Technology / Sterilization Techniques, or relevant healthcare training.

- 0-2 years of experience in hospital CSSD preferred (fresher s may be considered).

- Knowledge of sterilization methods, infection control,



and hospital safety standards.

- Skills Competencies

- Attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling instruments.

- Knowledge of sterilization equipment operation and maintenance.

- Understanding of infection control and hygiene practices.

- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment under pressure.

- Teamwork and coordination with surgical, nursing, and biomedical staff.

- Commitment to patient safety and hospital protocols.

Floor Co-Ordination

- Job Summary

The Floor Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning and coordination on the assigned hospital floor. This role involves overseeing patient care activities, liaising between medical staff, nurses, and support services, and addressing patient and attendant queries to maintain high standards of service and patient satisfaction.

- Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day activities on the assigned floor to ensure smooth patient care.

- Assist inpatient admissions, transfers, and discharges in coordination with nursing and administrative staff.

- Monitor patient flow, bed occupancy, and availability of medical equipment and supplies.

- Act as a liaison between doctors, nurses, support staff,



and patients/attendants.

- Respond to patient and attendant queries or complaints promptly and escalate if required.

- Maintain proper records of patient admissions, discharges, and floor activities.

- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control, and NABH standards on the floor.

- Support nursing staff with documentation, coordination of diagnostic tests, and patient care requirements.

- Conduct rounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and comfort of patients.

- Assist in training new staff and ensuring adherence to floor protocols.

- Qualifications Experience

- Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Nursing, Hospital Administration, or related field).

- 0-2 years of experience in hospital operations or patient care coordination (fresher s may be considered).

- Knowledge of hospital processes, patient care standards, and documentation.

- Skills Competencies

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and coordinate between multiple departments.

- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

- Attention to detail and organizational ability.

- Patient-centric approach with empathy and professionalism.
