The Staff Nurse (OT) is responsible for providing nursing support in the Operation Theatre, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining aseptic conditions. The role includes preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care in compliance with hospital and NABH standards.The Quality Control Executive is responsible for ensuring hospital processes, services, and clinical activities comply with NABH standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. The role involves conducting audits, monitoring quality indicators, supporting accreditation activities, and assisting in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

- Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the OT, surgical instruments, and equipment before procedures.

- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical operations.

- Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout the procedure.

- Maintain strict aseptic and infection control protocols in the OT.

- Handle and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.

- Assist in patient positioning, anaesthesia setup, and transfer to recovery.

- Document surgical procedures, instruments used, and post-operative notes accurately.

- Ensure cleaning,



sterilization, and maintenance of OT equipment and instruments.

- Participate in OT audits, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Respond promptly to emergencies and support critical interventions.

- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B.Sc . in Nursing.

- Registered with State Nursing Council (RNC).

- 0-3 years of experience in OT nursing (fresher s with OT training may be considered).

- Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and infection control.

- Skills Competencies

- Robust clinical and surgical nursing skills.

- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OT protocols.

- Effective communication and teamwork with surgeons, anaesthetists, and OT staff.
