The Staff Nurse (Ward) is responsible for providing direct patient care in hospital wards, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing. The role includes administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, maintaining records, and supporting doctors and allied health staff in delivering high-quality patient care in compliance with hospital and NABH standards.

- Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the ward as per hospital protocols.

- Monitor vital signs, patient conditions, and report any changes to the senior nurse or doctor.

- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.

- Assist doctors and other healthcare staff during ward rounds, procedures, and emergencies.

- Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and nursing notes.

- Ensure hygiene, infection control, and cleanliness in the ward.

- Educate patients and attendants on treatment, medication, and post-discharge care.

- Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently.

- Qualifications Experience

- Diploma / B.Sc . in Nursing.

- Registered with State Nursing Council (RNC).

- 0-3 years of experience in hospital ward nursing (fresher s may be considered).

- Knowledge of ward procedures, patient care, and infection control practices.
