The Purpose of this role exist to support and maintain the turbine and Auxiliaries equipments as per the SOP and ensure the performance reliability with minimal breakdowns and utmost safety.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

• To achieve 100% availability of mechanical equipments of Turbine and Aux

- Turbine Generator, BFP, CEP, EH, HPLP and Lube Oil system
- Stator water and Seal Oil system
- CCW and ACW Pumps, Condenser, PHE, TG Aux Valves and Actuators
- CW Pump, CT Fan, RO and DM Plant
- Fire Hydrant system

• Overall Co-ordination with other departments and other external agencies.

• Budgeting, planning & Optimum utilization of resource to ensure 100% availability of equipment with redundancy setup.

• Material planning, work execution, resource allocation to maintain the equipment healthiness with optimized cost.

• Sharing of best practices among other peer group of energy plant for proper / effective utilization of inventory, processes, technology, vendor sourcing.

• Ensuring Safety Compliance with effective utilization of contract workmen working in our area for mitigating the risk and creating safe working setting.

• Optimization of Maintenance Cost Spares & services.

• Inventory control and life cycle assessment of spares for effective utilization.





• Ensuring safety compliance of the Contract workmen, sub ordinates and Equipment.

• Continuous Drive to Up keep plant Housekeeping for aesthetic look.

• Proper budgeting comprising of Capex and Revenue for the responsible area.

• Co-ordination with the performance optimization group for effective implementation of processes.

• Leading the team for execution of Annual & Capital Overhauling of Turbine and its auxiliaries well within timeline with quality.

• Continuous monitoring of equipment performance for improving the proper scheduling, preventive maintenance, major overhauling to minimize the downtime.

• Item Code creation in data guru in coordination with MPPG team.

• Registering of SOS and near miss in My Setu Portal

• RCA for equipment breakdowns.

• Technical Evaluation and finalization of offers received from suppliers for spares and services.

Educational Background and Work Experience

Educational Background : B.E/B.Tech(Mechanical) with PGDC Thermal Power Plant Engineering

Work Experience: 4-6 years in Mechanical Maintenance
