Institutional Derivatives Dealer

Role Summary

The Institutional Derivatives Dealer will be responsible for executing equity derivative trades for institutional clients, ensuring productive and timely order execution across NSE/BSE derivatives markets. The role will involve close coordination with Institutional Sales, Research, Risk, Operations, and Compliance teams to deliver seamless execution while adhering to SEBI, Exchange, and internal trading guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute institutional client orders across Equity Derivatives, including Futures and Options, with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage execution of client orders across NSE/BSE trading platforms while ensuring best possible execution.
- Monitor market movements, liquidity, volatility, open interest, and other relevant market indicators to support effective trade execution.
- Coordinate closely with Institutional Sales and Research teams on client orders, trade ideas, market information, and execution requirements.
- Handle execution of large and complex derivative orders while maintaining appropriate market and execution discipline.
- Track and monitor client orders from initiation through execution and ensure timely communication of trade status.
- Maintain strong understanding of Futures, Options, index derivatives, stock derivatives, spreads, and other derivative strategies.
- Ensure adherence to SEBI, NSE/BSE, internal risk management, and trading policies.
- Coordinate with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other internal teams to resolve trade-related issues and ensure smooth post-trade processing and settlement.




- Maintain accurate trade records, execution reports, dealer logs, and daily MIS.
- Monitor trading positions and escalate execution, operational, or risk-related issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, trading practices, and developments in the Indian derivatives market.

Experience & Qualifications

- 2 to 6 years of experience in Institutional Derivatives Dealing, Equity Derivatives Dealing, or Institutional Sales Trading.
- Experience handling institutional client orders in F&O; / Equity Derivatives is preferred.
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Indian equity and derivatives markets, particularly NSE/BSE Futures & Options.
- Good understanding of derivatives products, order types, market liquidity, volatility, open interest, and execution processes.
- Hands-on experience with institutional trading terminals and execution platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, execution discipline, numerical ability, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced market environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with Institutional Sales, Research, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.
- NISM certification in Equity Derivatives or relevant certification will be preferred.
