Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our Core Banking technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test scenarios across banking applications while ensuring high-quality software delivery. The role requires solid expertise in functional testing, automation testing, API testing, microservices validation, and Agile delivery methodologies.

Candidates with experience in Core Banking and Credit Cards domain will be preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

- Understand business requirements and user stories and convert them into test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using Java-based automation frameworks.
- Test web applications, APIs, and microservices to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Work with interface teams and stakeholders to coordinate testing activities and resolve defects.
- Create and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Prepare and manage test data required for different test cycles.
- Track, report,



and validate defects until closure.
- Share regular test execution status and quality reports with project stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation and quality engineering practices.
- Support UAT, SIT, and production release testing activities.

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills

- 5-7 years of software testing experience, preferably in the Banking domain.
- Strong understanding of testing concepts, STLC, testing techniques, and test management practices.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Functional Testing
- API Testing
- Microservices Testing
- Regression Testing
- Agile Testing

- Good programming knowledge in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium Automation.
- Experience in API validation using Java APIs and JSON.
- Experience with BDD Frameworks (Cucumber).
- Ability to automate test cases using enterprise automation frameworks.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Genie Automation Framework.
- Exposure to Mainframe and AS400 applications.
- Prior experience in Credit Cards domain.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and contemporary testing practices.
