Role & responsibilities
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose AC and DC motor failures, inverter issues, and control circuit malfunctions.
- Repair & Rewinding: Perform motor rewinding, coil installation, bearing replacement, and insulation testing.
- AC to DC System Repair: Service motor drives (VFDs) and solar DC-to-AC inverters.
- Installation & Commissioning: Install current appliances, motors, and pump sets.
- Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on electrical motor repair services, including testing for AC motor rewinding.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service, repair activities, and spare part usage.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: ITI in Electrical/Electronics, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or B.E..
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in AC/DC motor rewinding or industrial motor repair, preferably with an authorized service center.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of motor control circuits, 3-phase systems, and AC/DC conversions.
- Tools: Proficient in using multimeters, insulation testers (Megger), and other electrical tools
. Commissioning & Testing
- Direction Check: Verify correct rotation direction (de-couple from load first).
- Commutation Check: Run the motor to check for "practically sparkless" commutation.
- Forced Cooling Verification: Ensure the blower starts before the DC motor energizes.
- Parameter Tuning: Set acceleration, deceleration, and current limit parameters in the converter controller
