Position Overview:
We are looking for Senior Pilot Simulator Instructor to join their team in Gurgaon, India, for a fixed term role of one year.
The Pilot Instructor instructs and assesses the performance of students in TS flight simulators, classroom, learning center, and other aircrew training device environments. The instructors must maintain a high level of proficiency in instructional methods, aircrew training devices and aircraft system operations applicable to crew position through self-study and simulator/aircraft training scenarios. The Pilot Instructor performs Subject Matter Expert (SME) duties to ensure courseware materials are current and makes change recommendations. The Pilot Instructor will also accomplish administrative duties as assigned.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities mentioned below but are not limited to:
- The Pilot Instructor is responsible for supervising and assisting students accomplishing Core Integrated Processor training, flight plans/planning, preflight training on training equipment, or other activities within the learning center environment.
- The Pilot Instructor is responsible for maintaining a positive working knowledge of applicable Computer Based Training (CBT) lessons and is capable of assisting students;
- Providing students with remedial training or calling upon a loadmaster instructor to assist, if necessary; providing limited pilot and loadmaster qualification training by student throughput and instructor manning; and performing other duties as assigned by organization.
Basic Qualification (Required Qualifications): As a general guideline, initial hiring qualifications for a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Instructor include:
- Minimum 2000 hours of flying experience with at least 500 hours as PIC on Multi-engine (Jet)
- Minimum 500 hours of pilot instructional experience on a Multi-engine (Jet)
- Academic Instructor experience, along with experience as a pilot in airland, airdrop, air refueling, and special operations, is highly desirable. (Candidates without these qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.)
- English language fluency - reading, writing, conversational ICAO Level 6 (required).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor degree desired.
- Candidates must hold/ be eligible to hold/ or have held (this does not apply to a license that has been revoked), an ATP Certificate, License, or Rating (endorsement) from a recognized ICAO signatory country for a Multi-engine (Jet) aircraft
- Air Force Pilot Instructor rating is highly desirable.
- Flight Instructor with C-17 Globemaster III will be preferred.
- Capable of international travel.
- Relevant work experiences demonstrating the ability to prepare a lesson plan, interpret and present technical material, and independently teach an airplane model.
Typical Education & Experience:
- Typically 12-16 years related work experience or relevant military experience.
- Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.
