1. Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

- Prepare detailed quantity estimates from architectural and structural drawings.
- Prepare BOQs for civil, finishing, and related construction works.
- Carry out quantity take-off for RCC, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, painting, and other civil works.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed project cost estimates.
- Check quantities against drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
- Identify quantity variations and their cost impact.

2. Rate Analysis & Costing

- Prepare detailed rate analysis for various civil construction items.
- Analyze material, labour, equipment, wastage, overheads, and applicable margins.
- Prepare and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations.
- Assist in finalizing rates and negotiating with contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain updated rate databases for materials and construction activities.

3. Contractor & Subcontractor Billing

- Verify contractor/subcontractor RA bills based on actual site measurements.
- Check measurements against BOQ, drawings, work orders, and approved rates.
- Prepare and verify measurement sheets.
- Check material consumption, deductions,



recoveries, retention, advances, and other bill adjustments.
- Verify extra items, deviation items, and substituted items.
- Ensure bills are processed accurately and within the required timeline.

4. Site Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, Purchase, and Accounts teams.
- Conduct joint measurements with contractors and site teams.
- Visit sites regularly to verify completed quantities.
- Resolve discrepancies between site measurements, drawings, BOQ, and contractor bills.

5. Cost Control & Documentation

- Monitor project quantities and costs against the approved budget.
- Prepare variation statements and cost-impact reports.
- Maintain records of BOQs, work orders, measurements, RA bills, rate analysis, and final bills.
- Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and project cost forecasts.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and management review.Role & responsibilities
