Job Description:

1. Position Overview
 Designation Level: Senior Manager / Deputy General Manager (DGM)
 Location: Head Office, Andheri (East), Mumbai
 Industry Focus: Plastics, Polymer Products, Piping Systems, & Advanced
Materials
 Reporting To: Executive Director (ED)
2. Role Purpose
The incumbent will act as a core strategic, analytical, and technical advisor to the
Executive Director. Combining deep engineering expertise in polymer/piping
manufacturing with business acumen, this role will drive operational excellence,
evaluate strategic business proposals, monitor technical KPIs, and serve as the
technical bridge between executive leadership and plant/R&D;/commercial
operations.
3. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Strategic & Technical Support to ED
 Technical Guidance: Act as a technical sounding board and technical
subject matter expert for the ED across product development, polymer
processing technology, material selection, raw material pricing dynamics, and
plant technology upgrades.
 Business & Market Analysis: Analyze business performance metrics,
production capabilities, techno-commercial proposals, market intelligence,
and product portfolio strategy within the polymer/piping sector.
 Special Projects: Lead and execute strategic projects, operational
turnarounds, technology adoption, capacity expansion studies, and technical
audits on behalf of the ED’s office.
Operational Governance & Performance Monitoring
 Performance Tracking: Review plant operations, manufacturing efficiency
(OEE), scrap/rejection rates, energy consumption, and raw material yields
across manufacturing units; synthesize key insights for the ED.
 Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Technical, R&D;,
Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain leadership teams to align business
goals, track action items,



and ensure timely execution of executive directives.

 Review & Reporting: Prepare high-impact executive presentations,
dashboard reports, industry benchmarking reports, and strategic briefs for
board/executive meetings.
4. Required Candidate Profile
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:
 Education:
o B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Polymer Technology, Plastics
Engineering, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering from a reputed
institute is mandatory.
o MBA / PGDM from a premier business school is strongly preferred.
 Total Experience: 12+ years of total experience, with proven progression into
strategic planning, technical EA, or techno-commercial/business management
roles.
 Industry Experience: Direct hands-on experience in the Piping, Polymer
Processing, Plastics, Petrochemicals, or Building Materials industry is
mandatory.
Key Competencies & Technical Skills:
 Technical Mastery: In-depth understanding of polymer processing
technologies (Extrusion, Injection Molding, PVC/PE/PEX piping systems,
fittings, raw material grade selection).
 Techno-Commercial Acumen: Solid proficiency in business analytics, cost-
benefit analysis, capital allocation/CAPEX evaluation, and P&L;
understanding.
 Executive Presence & Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and
presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders,
business heads, and plant technical leadership.
 Problem Solving & Decision Support: High analytical capacity to decode
complex technical/operational bottlenecks into actionable executive solutions.
