Designation: Area Sales Manager
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting To: Head – Sales

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, develop customer relationships, and expand the market presence in the assigned territory. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing existing customers, developing recent business opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.

Key Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets for the Kolkata and assigned Eastern India territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, dealers, distributors, OEMs, and end customers.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through market development and customer visits.
- Handle sales enquiries, prepare quotations, negotiate with customers, and follow up for order closure.
- Conduct regular market visits to understand customer requirements, competitor activities,



and market trends.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Production, PPC, Purchase, and Finance teams for smooth execution of customer orders.
- Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with customers for timely collections.
- Prepare regular sales reports, MIS, visit reports, and market feedback.
- Participate in customer meetings, product presentations, exhibitions, and technical discussions.
- Support channel development and appoint/develop suitable dealers or business partners wherever required.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve commercial or service-related issues in coordination with the concerned departments.
