The Manager oversees the development and implementation of quality frameworks, ensures the institution remains compliant with regulatory bodies and leads the operational delivery of high-stakes assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA) & Enhancement
- Framework Management: Develop and maintain the Institutional Quality Handbook, ensuring all policies align with national standards.
- Program Validation: Lead the approval process for current courses and the periodic review of existing ones to ensure academic rigor.
- Student Voice: Oversee student feedback mechanisms (surveys, focus groups) and ensure the "You Said, We Did" cycle is completed.
- Annual Monitoring: Manage the annual program monitoring process, identifying trends in student achievement and progression.
Academic Governance
- Committee Leadership: Serve as the secretary or lead advisor to the Academic Board and sub-committees (e.G., Learning & Teaching Committee).
- Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary point of contact for external regulatory bodies and lead on statutory returns.
- Policy Development: Draft, review, and implement academic regulations, including codes of practice on academic integrity and appeals.
- Audit Readiness: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure the institution is "inspection-ready" at all times.
Examinations & Assessment
- Operational Oversight: Manage the end-to-end examination cycle, from paper moderation and scheduling to the secure storage of scripts.
- Integrity & Misconduct: Lead the investigation process for academic malpractice (plagiarism, exam cheating) and chair disciplinary panels.
- Board of Examiners: Manage the "Exam Board" process, ensuring that marks are calculated accurately and awards are conferred according to regulations.
- External Examiners: Oversee the recruitment, briefing, and reporting
