Role Description We're looking for an Obstetrician who believes birth is normal until proven otherwise — and wants to practice that way, every day.
We're now hiring a full-time, on-site Obstetrician to join our team in Kochi.
This isn't a typical hospital OB role. At BirthVillage, midwives lead low-risk pregnancy and birth care; you'll be the specialist we turn to for higher-risk assessment,



obstetric backup, and collaborative decision-making . Expect a manageable caseload, real clinical autonomy, and the kind of continuity of care that's rare in high-volume hospital obstetrics.
What we're looking for:
* MD / DGO / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with valid medical council registration
* Genuine interest in — or openness to — low-intervention, midwifery-led colloborative maternity care
* Comfort working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including VBAC and water birth cases
* Solid communication skills — our mothers are informed, involved, and expect to be treated as partners in their own care
