Role Description The Commis Chef is a full-time, in office role based at Gokulam Park Hotel and Convention Centre in Kochi. This role supports the kitchen team in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating across multiple cuisines, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. The Commis Chef follows standard recipes,



assists in mise en place, and maintains high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in all food production areas. Responsibilities include proper storage and rotation of ingredients, assisting senior chefs during service, and contributing to buffet setups, banquets, and special events. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, responding to guest needs through the culinary team, and upholding the hotel’s quality and service standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills with solid basic Culinary Skills.
Candidates should possess good knowledge of kitchen Hygiene and food safety practices.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to work smoothly with the kitchen and service teams.
Formal culinary training or a diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts is preferred.
