Job Purpose
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, services and subcontracting requirements at the right quality, right price and right time.
The role requires robust knowledge of civil construction materials, project procurement, vendor management, commercial negotiations and construction-site requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with construction project and organizational requirements.
Manage procurement of civil construction materials, plant & machinery, equipment, consumables, tools,



spares and construction-related services.
Identify, evaluate, pre-qualify and develop reliable suppliers and vendors specifically relevant to the construction industry.
Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate commercial terms.
Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other contractual conditions.
Issue purchase orders and work orders as per approved requirements and company procedures.
Coordinate with Projects, Planning, Civil, Plant & Machinery, Finance, Stores and Administration for procurement requirements.
Ensure timely availability and delivery of materials/equipment at construction project sites.
Monitor pending purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely supplies.
Maintain an updated construction vendor database, purchase register and procurement tracker.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery and service.
