Domain: Spacecraft / Satellite Avionics

Experience: 2+ years (minimum) in satellite / spacecraft hardware

Role Summary
Design, develop, and validate avionics PCBs and custom interface cards for satellite systems, with end-to-end ownership across power, digital interfaces, and FPGA-based subsystems. The role spans schematic design through reliable board bring-up and test,



working closely with firmware and systems teams in a space-grade reliability workplace.

Responsibilities
• Design schematics and drive PCB layout coordination (Altium / KiCad) for satellite avionics boards
• Design custom interface cards: requirement capture, architecture definition, connector / pinout design, signal integrity, and integration with host avionics
• FPGA hardware design: device selection, power sequencing, I/O planning, configuration / boot interfaces, and supporting FPGA bring-up alongside the firmware / RTL team
• Power design: DC-DC selection, protection circuits, filtering, and rail bring-up
• Interface design: UART / CAN / RS-422 / 485, sensor I/O, isolation and level shifting
• Board bring-up: rail validation, ripple / noise characterization, current profiling, and FPGA configuration verification
• Debug hardware issues at board and system level; coordinate closely with the firmware team on FPGA
