Role Description The Chess Instructor is a full-time remote role responsible for delivering engaging, 1:1 online chess lessons to learners in Grades 1–10 and beyond. Day-to-day activities include planning structured lesson plans, teaching fundamental and advanced chess concepts,



analyzing student games, and providing actionable feedback to improve strategy, tactics, and decision-making. The instructor will tailor sessions to each learner’s skill level and goals, support preparation for school-level and competitive tournaments, and integrate skills such as logical thinking and pattern recognition into their teaching. The role also involves monitoring learner progress, communicating with parents and guardians as needed, maintaining records of sessions and outcomes, and collaborating with the academic team to align chess training with the broader learning ecosystem.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess robust Chess skills, including opening principles, middlegame strategy, endgame techniques, and familiarity with tournament play.
