About The Role

Techdome is looking for an experienced Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive to drive client acquisition across our IT services portfolio, including Web & App Development, UI/UX & Graphic Design, and Digital Marketing/SEO. You will own the end-to-end bidding process on Upwork, from identifying the right opportunities to writing winning proposals and converting leads into long-term clients.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how to read a client's requirement between the lines, craft a compelling pitch, and consistently convert bids into contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and bid on relevant Upwork projects across our service categories
Write customized, persuasive proposals for each opportunity (no templated pitches)
Handle client communication from first response through scoping and closing
Coordinate with technical/design/marketing teams for accurate estimates and timelines
Maintain and optimize the Upwork profile/portfolio to improve win rate
Track bids, conversions, and revenue; report performance to management




Stay current on Upwork's algorithm, connects strategy, and best practices
Negotiate scope, pricing, and timelines per company guidelines

Requirements

2+ years bidding on Upwork for an IT services company/agency
Proven track record of winning bids and converting them into repeat clients
Excellent written English and solid proposal-writing skills
Working knowledge of Upwork's bidding ecosystem and connects strategy
Experience with CRM/lead-tracking tools; LinkedIn Sales Navigator exposure a plus
Basic understanding of web/app dev, design, and digital marketing to scope projects accurately
Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills

Good to Have

Prior experience bidding on other freelance platforms (Fiverr, Freelancer, PeoplePerHour, etc.).
Experience working with international clients across different time zones.
Basic knowledge of project estimation and technical scoping.
