Position: Mechanical Engineer – Proposal Department
Experience: 2–3 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities
Prepare techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements, RFQs, and tender documents.
Review RFQs, technical specifications, engineering drawings, and customer inquiries.
Prepare proposals for Cold Rolling Mills, Hot Rolling Mills, Slitting Lines, and other steel processing equipment.
Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Project, and Sales teams for proposal preparation.
Estimate project costs, material requirements, manufacturing hours, and other project-related expenses.
Prepare detailed cost sheets, BOQs, and pricing calculations.
Prepare technical deviations, clarifications, and compliance statements.
Study equipment specifications and understand the technical requirements of Cold Rolling, Hot Rolling, and Slitting Line projects.
Support preparation of technical offers, equipment lists, and scope-of-supply documents.




Interact with customers for technical discussions and proposal clarifications.
Maintain proposal documentation, records, and quotation history.
Support contract review and project handover activities after order receipt.
Participate in tender submissions, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely submission of proposals.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Practical experience or understanding of Cold Rolling Mills, Hot Rolling Mills, Slitting Lines, and steel processing equipment.
Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals for industrial machinery/projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
Good understanding of cost estimation, material estimation, BOQ, and project execution.
